- Simple procedure

- No lawyers need to be involved

- Cases up to £15,000 (not complex)

- Personal injury cases from £1,000 - £15,000

- All cases must be completed within 30 weeks

- Limited to 1 day for trial

- Fixed costs awarded to winner

- Heard in either County Court or High Court

- Complex cases - £15,000+

- Personal Injury - £50,000+

- Circuit Judge

- Judge takes control of case through individual "case management"

- All parties must comply with timetable etc.
