Yest.

Yeast is one of the oraganisms most useful to people.

When the have plenty of oxygen yest cells respire AEROBICALLY. - Break down sugar to provide energy for the cells. - Produce water and carbon dioxide.

When yeast break down sugar in the absence of oygen they repsire ANAEROBICALLY and produce ethanol and carbon dioxide. Anaerobic respiration of yeast is somethimes called fermemntaion.
