Red Cloud went to a meeting with important people and refused to sell the Black Hills

Congress decided to ignore the Souix's veiws

Sioux given the deadline of 31st January (1876) to return to the reservations

Indians found it hard to travel back to the resevation, so the US decided to eliminate all unreservation Indians
