Some Grammar notes on the verbs which take etre as their auxiliary verb when put into the past tense.

THESE VERBS ALSO MAY NEED ALTERING DEPENDING ON THE PERSONAL PRONOUN.
If the writer is female or the subject is female you add an `e' to the past participle.
If the personal pronoun is plural ( on, nous, vous, ils, elles ) you add an `s' to the past
participle
