Drugs
Illegal drugs: drugs which are banned by law.
Socially accepted drugs: drugs which are legal and commonly used in society to socialise but are
still addictive and can be harmful.
Medically prescribed drugs: drugs prescribed by a doctor for medical purposes. St. Paul wrote that
Christians should see their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit and that destruction of this body
(temple) was wrong. Christians are called to be filled with the fruits of the spirit not polluted by drugs
and other intoxicants. `Avoid every kind of evil'.
