TIMELINE OF THE MYCENAEAN AGE

Mycenae lasted from 1,600-1,1500 bce. this is the bronze age.

it's hard to figure out the date, but we figured out from pottery styles in greece and look at egyptian records.

there are 3 period in the mycenaean age

  1. the early period, (1600- 1,400 bce) where burials were in shaft graves
  2. the palatial period, (1,400- 1,250 bce) where the palaces were at their peak
  3. the later period, (1,250-1,150 bce) when the palaces got attacked and eventually abandoned / destroyed.
