Advantages

  • Thermistors are highly sensitive so can detect small changes in temperature very easily.
  • Provide fast responces, can be done in seconds.
  • Low cost and easy to use.
  • Can record more than one measurement therefore allowing you to see comparisons.

Disadvantages

  • Computer errors may cause the readings to be inaccurate.
  • Require a form of power, such as batteries.
  • Need to be sterlilized.
