+if researchers observed it may distract babies meaning highly likely the participants behaved naturally when being observed - mothers may be biased when observing babies e.g not notice anxiety or misinterpret them meaning natural behaviour may not be recored accurately - babies may actually be social in the asocial sage but because of flawed methods they appear asocial+means parents use of day care can be planned using Schaffer and Emersons stages
