  • Directors provide a enhance contextual meaning giving foreign audience more insight into the country
  • National cinema could contain universal theories making the audience emphasis with the characters
  • National cinema don't gloss over everyday life as its neo realist and explores these instead giving audience another view in the real world

Disadvantages

  • A group of films can not be called nation cinema as they might not represent the real culture and the people. Only point of view of the director - subjective snapshot
  • The style is more due to the financing and might effect the finished result of the film
  • Comparing and contrasting film from same country can be difficult and are under a different spectrum because there realist they focus on contextual issues
  • foriegn films in national cinema context may be bias for if you have not seen many foreign films creating prejudice and create scheme what film like from that country

Evaluation

When looking at films in national cinema the bad overpowers the good and when applying this to the four films they create problems when in national context. The conclusion is watching film in national context is bad unless you have seen quit a few and range from that country as this will decrease the chances of prejudices being formed.
