Multi-faith societies

Advantages

Varied cultural life.
Clearer understanding of other cultures and religions.
Greater tolerance for other people's views and ways of life.
Freedom to believe what you want and to live your life how you desire to live it.
Less worried about people who are different to themselves.

Disadvantages

Conflicting views could cause discrimination.
Religious tolerance has lead to people's views being ignored. E.g. Christmas becoming Xmas in some cases.

Evaluation

There are more positive aspects to living in a multi-faith society, however the negative aspects could for some people outweigh the positive aspects, so cause them to move to another country where there is no multi-faith society.
