Methods of Observation - Observation

Advantages

  • Ability to view how the current users use the system.
  • Easy to spot flaws which the customer may not recognise or not deem important enough to discuss

Disadvantages

  • Some people may feel threatened or under pressure while being observed
  • No guarantee that smaller subtle parts of the system will be noticed / brought up during observation

Evaluation

A good insight into how the business currently uses the system and allows minor changes such as usability.Although, there are more accurate methods that return better results.
