Causes

Black people were put on a ship called the zong and being used as slaves they were traveling to Jamaica it held 17 white crewmen and about 440 African slaves.

Effects

People were becoming very ill from the lack of food being squashed in the ship slaves were dying the crewmen knew no one would survive no none wanted ill slaves so they got thrown of the ship .

Overall summary

Black people were treated really badly and slavery was finally abolished in 1833 but the slave trade was abolished in 1807. slavery started around the 17 centenary
