Overall comparisonAll in all, graphite is shown as a softer giant structure than diamond, this is because of the one delocalised electron that graphite has, that allows it to conduct electricity unlike diamond. But they both need that high melting point, because their covalent bonds are harder to break, as they are very strong. |
