Overall summary

There are a variety of reasons as to why a country or organisation may go to war. Some may have political differences with the opposition, others may wish to gain access to natural resources or wealth etc, whilst others may go for the more ethical approaches of overthrowing an evil dictator, preventing further disastrous acts or defending an ally. Similarly, there are many consequences of war. Whilst there are the positives; human rights can be restored and a fairer government could be implemented, the majority of consequences are negative. Death, injury and cost will be rife. Mental health problems, diseases and the displacement of refugees are also big effects of war that are seen as negative.
