Anarchism as impossible (yes/no)

Advantages

  • P: positive human nature; E: humans are perfectible in appropriate social conditions, state prevents this due to corruptive power; E: collectivists believe in social + co-operative humans in statelessness + common ownership, individualists believe in rational humans who follow principles that won't hurt others in unregulated capitalism

Disadvantages

  • P:  error about human nature; E: if anarchists are wrong, entire ideology falls apart; E: conservative pessimistic view (morally, psychologically, intellectually imperfect) and liberal view (natural order is impossible due to egoism leading to instability + strife)

Evaluation

Anarchism is impossible from other views but anarchists see it as viable
