	Advantages Mass Production- based on moving assembly lines Advertising- by 1929 companies were spending $3 billion Management science- time and motion techniques Technological advances- electronic goods and household appliances The automobile- created greater tourism, roadside hotels and petrol stations	Disadvantages Farmers- there was less demand; prohibition meant there was less demand for grain that goes into alcohol, synthetic fibers became more popular,growth of agri-businesses crushed small farms, high foreign tariffs and machinery Black Americans- 85% lived in the South and were mostly sharecroppers, others moved North to cities like Chicago and found discrimination in the workplace Unequal distribution- it was mostly the far West and Industrial North that saw prosperity, compared to the South
