  • THE LUDENDORFF OFFENSIVE!
    • The military significance of the Brest-Litovsk was that it allowed 1/2 million troops to transfer from the Eastern to the Western Front.
      • The aim of this offensive was to deliver such a blow to the Allies that withdraw from the War.
        • WISHFUL THINKING!
          • The Allies had  superior of men AND materials, without tapping into America's potential.
        • Germany launched the attack on the 21st March 1918 and successfully pushed back the Allies a considerable distance. By July they had advanced 80 miles.
          • EXHAUSTION AND 1/2 MILLION CASUALTIES.
