- The endocrine system uses hormones to control vital biological functions and works alongside the nervous system.
- It works slower than the nervous system however, does have strong effects.

- The pituitary gland is located in the brain and is known as the master gland due to its control of all other endocrine glands in the body.

- Thyroxine is produced by the Thyroxide gland, they work affect organs throughout the body including the heart to help increase Metabolic rates which increase growth.
