  • The Biological approach
    • The biological approach suggests everything that is psychological is at first biological.
      • The mind and body are one and the same.
    • In order to fully understand human behaviour it is vital that we look at biological structures and processes within the body such as genes.
      • It is suggested that behaviour is inherited.
      • Neurochemistr-y can also explain behaviour, for example low levels of serotonin is found in patients with OCD.
    • Twin studies; concordance rates are higher in MZ twins than it is in DZ twins.
    • MZ (Monozygotic)= identical twins. 100% of genes shared
