  • Rates of Reaction
    • collision theory
      • for a reaction to happen, reactant particles must collide with eachother. The minumum energy required in order to have sucessful collision is call activation energy. (Collisions must have energy)
    • Increasing Temperature
      • By increasing the temperature, the particles are vibrating more and move around faster, increasing the rate of collision so increasing rate of reaction.
    • Concentration
      • The higher the concentration, the more (e.g) hcl molecules wich means more succesful collisions which means increased rate of reaction
    • Surface area
      • more s.a means more particles exposed to reactants, so more collisions and increased r.o.r.
