  • Plant hormones- Plant growth regulators
    • Some hormones amplify each others effects (SYNERGY) BUT some cancel out eachothers effects (ANTAGONISM)
    • Plant hormones are produced by a variety of tissues in the plant
    • Hormones move around the plant in 3 ways
      • Active transport
        • Diffusion
          • Mass flow in the phloem sap or in the xylem
    • Like animal hormones, plant hormones are chemical messengers that can be transported away from where they are made to other parts of the plant.
