  • Physical factors effecting growth and development.
    • Genetic inheritance: we may inherit diseases, genetic disorders or learning difficulties.
      • These conditions can result in poor health, early death, limited mobility, social isolation and depression.
    • Nurture/ Environmental
      • We may not get enough food as a child and not grow and develop properly physically and mentally
      • If you live in an area with good schools and a good community you may develop good intellectual skills
        • Alternatively, if you live in a bad area you may become fearful, this would cause social isolation and lack of exercise because you are too scared to go out.
    • Exercise is very important in order to meet emotional   needs as well as physical
    • Illness and Disease may have long and/or short term effects on a persons growth and development
