    • LCD
      • LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. They contain two layers of polarized glass through which the liquid crystals both block and pass light.
        • They can easily be wall mounted.
          • PROS
        • They have a low power consumption.
        • The heat release is very low.
        •  Brightness may make it not suitable in certain uses.
          • CONS
        • It has static resolution
        • Accuracy of colour is not the best
    • CRT
      • CRT stands for Cathode Ray Tubes. This method fires electrons at a screen to make each pixel glow in the correct colour.
        • CRT runs the highest pixel resolutions generally available.
          • PROS
        • CRT displays are less expensive than other similar displays.
        • CRT displays have fast response times so they’re useful for gamers.
        • They’re not as bright as LCD displays.
          • CONS
        • They’re not as sharp and produce more of softer images compared to LCD.
        • They consume a lot of energy and produce a lot of heat.
    • Pixilation is caused by the over sizing of images which cause them to blur and become pixilated.
      • Lumens measure how much light you are getting from a bulb. More lumens means it's a brighter light; fewer lumens means it's a dimmer light.
      • OLED has self-illuminating pixels where as an LED screen uses LEDs to light the LCD screen. LED screens are a lot cheaper than OLED due to the technology used and the picture resolution it can produce.
    • Printers
      • A monochrome printer is a laser printer that only prints black however it is generally faster and produces higher-quality printouts than an inkjet printer.
      • A multi functional printer may include a built-in scanner and so can be used as a simple photocopier, suitable for home or small office use.
      • Dot matrix printers are used for receipt printing. As they require little amounts of ink and are small.
      • Plotters are a specialist type of printer which is able to draw high quality images on very large pieces of paper.
      • A thermal printer is a printer in which fine heated pins form characters on heat-sensitive paper.
