Nouns are much more complicated than just this. You have common (everyday things), concrete (ones you can touch), abstract (ones you cannot touch but you can experience), collective (the names for groups of things), and pronouns. Some nouns have irregular plurals, e.g. mouse -> mice. Some don't change their form when they're plural, e.g. sheep.
