    • metals properties are because of the sea of free electrons
      • they are delocalised electrons which come from the outer shell of every metal atom in the structure
        • delocalised means free

        • This is why metals are good conductors of heat and electricity

    • Has strong forces of electrostatic attraction
      • This means they have high melting and boiling points
    • They also allow the layers of atoms to slide over each other
      • This allows metals to be bendy and be shaped easily
