  • Measuring the size of a business
    • Market Share: the portion of a market controlled by a particular company or product
    • Capital Employed:  Capital employed  represents the capital  investment necessary for a business to function. Consequently it is not a measure of assets, but of capital     investment: stock or shares and long-term liabilities
    • Number of employees: how many employees are working for the business
    • Value of output: the productivity of a country or region measured by the value of goods and services produced
