    • Advantages
      • They are highly reliable
      • It's a very detached method
    • Disadvantages
      • Hard to control all the variables
      • Cannot be used to study the past
      • Can only study small samples
      • Needs informed consent
        • Difficult to get from children and people with learning difficulties
      • May cause harm to the participants
      • The Hawthorne effect
