  • Eukaryotic Organelles
    • Ribosomes
      • Floating freely, or attached to the surface of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The site of protein synthesis as they translate RNA.
    • Rough endoplasmic reticulum
      • Adjusts the function of the proteins and can redirect their destination. synthesised proteins are secreted from the cell.
    • Smooth endoplasmic reticulum
    • Lysosomes
      • Contains digestive enzymes that breakdown molecules. They can also engulf old cell organelle and forge in matter.
    • Cilla & Undulipodia
      • Movement
    • Vacuole
      • Filled with water and solutes to maintain the cell stability.
    • Mitochondria
      • The site of ATP production during aerobic respiration.
    • Chloroplasts
      • The site of photosynthesis.
    • Centrioles
      • Used during cell division.
    • Cytoskeleton
      • Protein fibres used for support, transport and mobility. attached to cell membrane for shape.
    • Nuclear Envelope
      • Separates the contents of the nucleus.
    • Nucleus
      • Nucleolus
        • Ribosomes are made here.
      • Nuclear pores
      • Nucleoplasm
        • Is full of chromatin.
      • Controls the cell, genome is stored here. Provides protein synthesis instructions.
