- Ecosystems
- what is an ecosystem and features of an ecosystem
- an ecosystem is any group of living organisms and nonliving things occurring together and the interrelationships between them
- the components of an ecosystem are
- habitats= the places where organisms live
- a population=all of the organisms that live in the same place at the same time and can breed
- a community=all the populations of different species who live in the same place at the same time and can interact with each other
- the role that each species plays in the ecosystem is called its niche
- as the niche covers a wider range of factors it is impossible for two different species to occupy the same niche
- depending on their niche organisms can affect each other these are known as biotic factors these ways are
- competing for food
- predation
- spreading diseases
- paratsicum
- however their are other factors to do with non living factors that can affect an niche these are abiotic factors which are
- pH
- changes in temperature
- weather
- soil type
- what is an ecosystem and features of an ecosystem
