- TAKES law making away from Elected HOC
- DL allows unelected people to make law, making it undemocratic
- Parliament's control is limited, even though there is sufficient control
- SUB-delegation
- The authority of law making is handed down another level.
- This leads to people believing that the law is made by Civil Servants and 'rubber stamped' by the Govt Minister

- DL makes it difficult to discover what the present is.
- This is due to DL being made in private, leading to a lack of publicity
