      • There is global undeveloped around the world because of human factors such as war and political instability to physical  factors such as climate, relief and natural hazards.
      • In Switzerland: - the life expectancy is 83.70 yrs, the GDP is $82,568, the literacy rate is 99.00%, and the HDI is 0.996.
      • In Norway: - the life expectancy is 82.33 yrs, the GDP per capita is $75.452 and the literacy rate is 99.00%.

      • GDP(growth domestic product) - value of all the goods and services produced in a country during a year. It gives the average per person.
      • HDI (human development index) - measure of different aspects of life between countries - things like life expectancy, education and standards of living.
      • Literacy rate - how good the education is and whether people can speak, read and write.
      • Birth rate - used to define number of babies born every yr per 1000 people in the population.
      • Death rate - number of deaths occurring among the population of a given geographical area.
      • Political Corruption - uses of power by the government officials for illegitimate private gain.
      • Happiness index - an index of human well-being  and environmental impact

      • North-south divide (UK) - A virtual socioeconomic and political  line on the globe which divides the developed countries in the North from the poorer developing countries in the south.
        • In the UK areas in south have a higher education whereas in the north the education is slightly poorer.
      • In the north-east of England it is evident that the £ per head are much lower than £14,347-£14,999.
      • Scotland is the outlier in  this situation as they earn a lot more.
