- CPU is the main component in a computer for processing data.
- Input devices are hardware devices which allow data to be entered into a computer to be processed and outputted
- Examples: Mouse, Keyboard, microphone, graphics tablet
- Output devices allow a compute system to intract with th user and output processed data
- Examples: Projector, speakers, monitor, printer
- Backing storage is where data is stored when it is not being used and will be needed at a later date.
- Address bus and data bus are pathways taken by data. The storage address is sent along the address bus and data travels along the data bus
- Ports and connectivity. Hardware ports connect together different computer systems. Software ports are non physical and allow multiple software applications to be run.
