        • prophet Ezekiel said - "I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn away from their ways and live
      • imprisonment protects society and gives murderers the chance to repent and be reformed - this is what many people want to happen
        • pope francis "every life is sacred [...] society can only benefit from the rehabilitation of those convicted of crimes"
