- NON-INVASIVE: Develops in breast ducts
- Does not have the ability to spread
- INVASIVE: Develops in cells that line the ducts

- SECONDARY: Can spread through blood or lymph nodes

- Causes
- AGE: Risk increases as you get older. Most likely to develop >50 and been through menopause
- FAMILY HISTORY: Not hereditary but certain genes being passed down can increase risk
- ALCOHOL: >2 drinks per day increases risk
- BEING TALL: Due to genes and hormones
- RADIATION: Having previous x-rays, CT scans and radiotherapy increases risk

- BREAST DENSITY: The more dense the breast the more glandular tissue
