- Coming back to life in your own body e.g. Jesus, or after Judgement Day, when we are resurrected in our in our physical bodies.
- After death you are judged, then go to heaven or hell.
- Christian and Muslim belief.
- You remember your life.
- Evidence for: Revelation (Bible/Quran) and the resurrection of Jesus.
- Evidence against: surviving death is not scientifically possible and holy books can't be trusted.
- Reincarnation
- Coming back to life in a different body.
- After death your soul enters a new body, maybe human maybe animal (depending on the karma you built up)
- Hindu/Sikh belief
- You usually don't remember your past.
- Rebirth
- Coming back to life in a different body but as an ever changing character, not as a constant soul.
- Buddhist belief
- After death we are reborn into a different body. we do not have the same soul but there is an 'essence' of us that continues - similar to a candle - when you use one flame to light a new flame, it is a different flame but relies on the first to exist.
- Evidence for: some people seem to remember very specific details of their past lives, revelation (Vedas- Hindu holy book)
