exam question: Ethanol boils at 78 degrees. water boils at 100 degrees. outline how you would seperate a mixture of these liquids?
firstly, you would heat the mixture to 78 degrees so the ethnol leaves but the water stays this is called evapuration

next you would cool it down into a liquid this is called condensation

1. Remove large objects this is called filtaration [coarse sand filter]

2. leave the water for days/weeks [sedementation tank]

3. through the fine sand filter to remove small objects

4. chlorine is added to kill bacteria
