Restrictive practices are actions we take to keep people safe, that under everyday circumstances would be seen as harmful.

Restricting a resident from leaving the home by locking ALL the doors.
Holding a resident who requires personal care but is reluctant to receive it

what should you do if you suspect abuse
Intervene in a way that does not put you in harm's way.
Tell your line manager. If your manager is the perpetrator of the abuse, tell their line manager.
Create a record of what you have seen or what you have been told.
