Producing new cells

?
What is mitosis?
Mitosis is a type of cell division. Mitosis occurs wherever more cells are needed. It produces two new cells that are identical to each other, and to the parent cell. The process of growth and division is called the cell cycle.
1 of 5
Name the steps of mitosis
Chromosomes in the nucleus are copied, the chromatids are pulled apart and moved towards poles, the chromosomes separate and the cells divide.
2 of 5
Name the steps of when dna seperates
DNA spiral "unzips", free nucleotides lock on to the bases, Two copies of the original spiral are formed
3 of 5
What is meiosis?
Meiosis is a different kind of cell division. It is used to produce male and female gametes
4 of 5
