It is a free verse, has enjambment, caesura therefore creating a chaotic structure showing that war bring chaos for people at home and in their minds. 2 of 5 Enjambment "All my words flattened, rolled, turned into felt, slowly melting" 3 of 5 Language "Sellotape bandaged around my hand". Here the mum is ironing his clothes but this creates images of conflict and injured soldiers. 4 of 5 Language "I want to graze my nose across the tip of your nose" also shows conflict images.
