'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings'
Structurally breaks the Iambic Pentameter which shows superiority and caesura represents the end of his reign. 'King of kings' shows he is top of the ladder as 'king' has connotations of power.

'The lone and level sands stretch far away'
Linguistically alliteration has been used to show how nature is superior. After all this time nature has still survived. Final emphasis on destruction.

The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed'
Linguistically the verb 'mocked' has been used to possibly represent Ozymandias taking the mick but could also link to the creater mocking up the statue. This shows the power Ozymandias had over his people because he was in charge of feeding them.
4 of 6
'frown' and 'wrinkled lip'
Shows moodiness/cruelty

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
The noun 'works' is ironic because Ozymandias never actually did any work himself. 'Mighty' is capitalised and suggests he is talking to God which shows his arrogance.
