2 weeks at HMAS Creswell, training includes Combat Survivability (5 days), Survival at Sea (2 days) and First Aid (3 days).

22 week period living onboard, Phase 2 provides an overview of all departments

14 week shore phase at HMAS Watson,concentrating on more advanced theoretical and practical navigation, bridge management and mariner skills This is followed by a six month sea posting to a Minor War Vessel
