What does Dynamics mean?
Dynamics mean the volume in music e.g Crescendo,Diminuendo,Forte and Piano.

What does Duration mean?
Duration mean the length of the note and how
many beats they last for or how many
beats in the bar e.g Crotchet,Quaver and
Dotted rhythms.

What does Rhythm mean?
Rhythm means the effect created by combining a variety of notes with different durations e.g
Pulse/beat,Triplets/duplets, polyrhythms,
Syncopation and ostinato/loop.

Structure means the overall plan of a piece of music e.g Ternary ABA and Rondo ABACAD, verse/chorus, Binary, coda, intro, outro,
Ground bass, verse, chorus and sonata Form.

Melody means the effect created by combining a
variety of notes of different pitches e.g
Step, leap ,Scalic and Tonic.

instruments that are used e.g Strings, Voices, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion.

Texture means the different layers in a piece of
Music e.g polyphonic, monophonic, homophonic
and heterophonic.

Tempo means the speed of the music e.g
very fast, fast, quick, cheerful, at a moderate
walking pace, slow, broad, slow and very slow.

Timbre means the tone quality of the music, the
different sound made by the instruments used
e.g pizzicato, arco, col legno and
double stopping.

Tonality means the key of a piece of music
e.g Major (used in happy or celebratory music),
minor, chromatic and pentatonic.

Harmony means how notes are combined to
build up chords e.g consonant, dissonant, cadences ,modulation, transpose, pedal, drone, arpeggio, suspension and passion note.
