What is a Multiple of a number?
A Multiple of a number are just its times table.

What is a factor of a number?
The Factors of a number are all the numbers that divide into it.

How do you work out the factor of a number?
Start of with 1x the number itself, then try 2x, carry on listing the pairs in rows, crose out the row if it doesnt divide exavtlly, when you get the number repeated stop.

What is a Factor Tree used for?
A Factor Tree is used to find the Prime Factors of any number.

What is the method for factor trees?
Start with the number at the top & split it into factors. Every time you get a prime number, ring it. Keep going until you cant go further, then write the primes out in order.

What does LCM stand for? And what does it mean?
Lowest Common Multiple. This is the smallest number that will divide by all the numbers in the question.

What do HCF stand for? And what does it mean?
Highest Common Factor, is the biggest number that will divide into all the numbers in the question.
