Deals with the transfer of responsibilities, Dissolves Parliament for elections, complies with all EU directives, deals with foreign affairs and national emergencies

The Misuse of Drugs Act: Changed Cannabis from a Class B to C in 2003 and back to Class B five years later

Government Ministers with expert knowledge

What is the role of a Statutory Instrument?
Resolves different dilemmas in each area of policy and come up/implement old regulations. Must be as detailed as possible

Give an example of when a Statutory Instrument was used?
Chemicals Regulations 2009 made by the Minister of Work and Pensions under the European Communities Act 1972 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Who creates Bylaws?
Local Authorities (such as the local council) and Public Corporations

What is the role of Bylaws?
Creates Laws and Regulations for matters in their own areas as well as matters involving the public in their jurisdiction

Give an example of when a Bylaw was used?
The Transport Act 2000 as the Strategic Rail Authority prevented the possession of weapons being brought that cause damage to others
