What does Indigenous mean?
Someone who is native and historically originates from a certain area. They use traditional and cultural methods of living which makes them different to modern civilization. They can be people who live in tribes.

What is Globalisation?
It refers to the cross-border movements of goods, money, information, ideas, and people, and the associated interdependency of people and institutions around the world.

What might it do to Indigenous people?
-Might make them more modernized, -Might lose some of their traditions, -Adds pressure on them to change how they live, -They can adapt to the modern world but still carry on some of their everyday life.

What is Tourism?
It comprises activities of people travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment.

How are indigenous people affected by tourism?
They are a huge attraction for tourists as they live very different lives. They are always faced with the threat of sharing their culture.

What effects does it have on other aspects of Indigenous people's lives?
On their land, animals, plants and trees and it can cause deforestations, pollution and forests being cut down.

Are Indigenous people rich or poor?
Indigenous people remain among the world’s poorest and most marginalized and are often disproportionately victimized by the effects of armed conflict however this isn’t their fault.

Why have the had to move?
They have often been impoverished displaced or even decimated by intensive agriculture, industrial logging and infrastructure developments. They have to move because of development.

What are they trying to preserve?
They are still struggling to preserve land, which isn’t good for them because they need the land for crops, food and maybe even wealth.

This interconnectedness and the changes it brings in living conditions and perspectives, creates both opportunities and challenges.

How does it affect the Massai tribe?
There is a threat of deforestation and as they don't believe in farming they have been forced into areas that aren't large enough to keep livestock. It leads to overgrazing, low water supply, land sales to non-Maasai.

How does it affect the Aborigines?
It causes deforestation, tourism and a loss of land.
