Maslow adapted the H.O.N: physiological needs- breathing, food, sleep,etc. safety and security- health, resources, family, etc. love and belonging- friendship, sexual intimacy, etc. self-esteem,- confidence, achievement, etc. Self-actualisation- morality,

when self worth and unconditional positive regard were emerged form healthy relationships which has a direct impact on psychological well-being.

when parents expected a behaviour in order to give positive regard (praises) which effects the self worth of an individual which causes unhappiness.

the unhappiness that comes from the gap of the ideal self and self concept.

rogerian therapy closes gap in incongruence by being client centred, taking a step to solving their issues and achieve self-actualisation. therapist provides unconditional positive regard to the client with expressing acceptance, etc.
