Describe a bit about Mons
Mons was in August 1914, the British Expeditionary Force, the first toops sent over from britian managed to slow down the german advance, but they didn't stop it.

Then about marne
The allied troops managed to save paris, and forced the germans to pull back to the River Aisne, the batlle only lasted five days

and now about Ypres
where both sides dashed to the sea, to stop the other side controlling the coastline, the allied tropps managed it but with alot of lives lost.
