How is a hammer-on played?
By picking a string and then forcing another finger down on a different fret of the same string without re-picking.

By picking a string with two frets pressed down, then releasing the higher one so the lower note sounds.

A slide is a type of glissando.

Made by keeping pressure on the string whilst moving to another note.

What is the difference between Palm Mutes and Muted Strings?
Palm Mutes is a way of playing with the palm against the picking strings while playing.

Muted Strings is playing notes marked with an 'x', lightly using the fretting hand to prevent them from making unwanted noise.

String bends - bend up and bend down. Pushing up or down on the fretted note.
