Anxiety is associated with the excessiev fear of gaining weight or being fat.

Weight loss is considered abnormal when it drops below 85% of their normal wight, based upon age and height.

They do not see their own their own thinness and will deny the extent of their illness. They often consider themselves fat despite their visible bones. Thinness is vital to their self-esteem.

Amenorrhoea
The cessation of menstruation. Such absence longer than 3 months is a clinical characteristic of AN. The cause of this is through a lack of nutrition.
