What characteristics have to be present for a diagnosis of a phobia according to the DSM V
1) Persistent, excessive and unreasonable fear; 2) Exposure causes anxiety; 3) situations or object avoided; 4) disrupts life and lasts 6 months

at least 5 over a 2 week period: 1) depressed mood; 2) loss of interest in pleasurable activities; 3) depressed most of the day; 4) fatigue every day; 5) recurrent thoughts of death

Mild: 2-3 symptoms over a 2 week period (can continue with everyday life) Moderate 4-5 (difficulty continuing with life) Severe: 5+ (impact marked and distressing, feelings of worthlessness and guilt)

2 symptoms to be present for at least 1 month (must include 1 of first 3): 1) delusions, 2) hallucinations; 3) Disorganised Speech; 4) Grossly Disorganised Speech; 5) Negative Symptoms; 6) changing in functioning for 6 months

There are different types: Paranoid- Everyone is a threat; Hebephrenic- Slow deterioration into an alzheimic state; Catatonic- goes into coma-like states for extended periods of time
