What characteristics have to be present for a diagnosis of a phobia according to the DSM V
1) Persistent, excessive and unreasonable fear; 2) Exposure causes anxiety; 3) situations or object avoided; 4) disrupts life and lasts 6 months

There are different types: Paranoid- Everyone is a threat; Hebephrenic- Slow deterioration into an alzheimic state; Catatonic- goes into coma-like states for extended periods of time
